Cod.: paper, I+201 ff. (foliated with red Hindu-Arabic numerals in the upper left corners of rectos, with ‘188’ and ‘189’ skipped; catchwords in the hand of the scribe). A very clear naskh hand, most descenders with serifs . Dotted ductus, occasional vowels, regular indication of final hamzas and shaddas. Text enclosed in a red/blue double frame and an additional blue frame reserved for glosses. Book titles and explicits in thuluth script; chapter and paragraph beginnings highlighted in red ink, instructions for rubrications left by the main scribe, at times visible in the fold (e.g., ff. 3–9). Occasional catch titles in the margins, mostly rubricated and emphasized by thuluth script. Abjad notation in the main text with red overlines. Diagrams: the three horoscopes usually found in this commentary (168r, 170r, 171r), abjad notation in the horoscopes in red ink (only the planetary degree). Dimensions: 31×20.5 cm; 23 lines per page (Eastern misṭara imprints). Codex in very good condition. Bound in a plain brown leather binding with faded frames, doublures decorated with battal ebru (red, black and gold). Type III binding.
