General Information

Mohammad Mozaffari is an historian of astronomy in the medieval Islamic period, Ph.D. He is an assistant professor and head of the Department of History of Astronomy in the Research Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics of Maragha (RIAAM), Maragha, Iran. His research interests are solar, lunar, and planetary models and parameters in ancient and medieval astronomy, ancient and medieval observational astronomy, ancient and medieval mathematical astronomy, applied history of astronomy, astronomy in cultural context and ethnoasatronomy, ancient and medieval astronomical instrumentation.
