Initials etc. 30 chapters numbered 1 to 29 | Titles, etc. are in the script and ink of the text, underlined often in red ink
Decorations 54 large and 61 smaller initials, 55 astronomic diagrams, some times forming groups of human beings of characteristic appearance and various professions (examples: (87) Saturnus, (238) Twins, (242) water-carrier, (166) Courtesan, (172-188) Fool and Plougher etc.): while painting these designs the artist was no doubt improving as will easily be seen by the groups of Venus (216), Moon (227) and Sun (213). Considering the ressemblance of some of these pictures to te woodcuts in the Incunabula, the question will arise which were the earlier. Judging by the present Codex the colored drawings seem to have been the first because this manuscript was surely finished before the publication of the respective Incunabula: Ben Ezra 1485 or Johannes Angulus 1490. (Note in another hand: The cited drawings are clearly ... after the Ratdolt editions (of Albumasar, De magnis coninctionibus) or other publications going back to wooden models of his Hygines, Venice 1482). - 426 astrologic schemata, 74 pages of astronomic tables, a calendar, and 1 large astrologic table | 555 colored pen drawings | Numerous colored pen and ink drawings and many diagrams. Large decorated initials in red. In some places in the Text (e.g., 1ar, 2r, 51r & v, 263v), space has been provided for initials, but they were not inserted
