Binding leaves iv and 56v, originally pastedowns, are fragments of s. 14 legal documents; 56v contains fragments of copies of Provencal legal documents concerning the transfer of land etc. On Iv the perforated rectangulkar label
Cover Bound in wooden boards covered with a s. 14 vellum wrapper (on the reverse side of which are copies of s. 14 legal documents) to 3 bands, with plain metal bosses, 5 of which are lost, and strap and pin fastening now gone. On the inside front cover, upside down, the inscription (s. 14) 'Benedicamus domino Deo gracias. Alleluya. Amen'. and other scribbles.
Type of writing (arts 1 & 2) In a small s. 13 in. hand; (art. 3) in bold s. 12 hands; (art.4) in a small much abbreviated hand of s. 13/II; (arts 5 & 6) in 32 or more thickish hands of s. 12 ex.

Lineation Ruled as follows: (arts 1 & 2) 25-32 lines in pencil; (art. 3) 30-2 lines with a hard point; (art. 5) 28-9 lines; (art. 6) 38-42 lines both in crayon writing above the top line.
Initials etc. (arts 1 & 2) With headings and capitals in red; (art.4) with capitals and paragraph marks alternately in red and blue, the capitals alternately flourished with violet and red; (arts 5 & 6) without ornaments.

Glosses etc. There are many added notes and diagrams, and a number of prose explanations inserted in the text, e.g. on 3r, after "septem bini quini septem tertia seni" (1190 of the print), a prose explanation with diagrams. The text is followed on 6v by ten additional lines of verse, "Qui sequitur numerus medio pare multiplicetur / In par parce sui maiori multiplicetur ... Soli iuncta latent signa remota patent".
