Numbering ff. s. 14 ex. & 15 in. The foliation in Roman numerals which begins on q.2 1 (the Calendar not being foliated) ands q.4 1r (f.'xvij'), after which the Arabic notation continues to the end (f.'128'). This was done before q.4 9,10 and q.5 1 were cut out, as q.5 2 is numbered '11'. q.13 2 is numbered '93', and q.13 3 is numbered '95' in error.

Cover Pasteboards, covered quarter vellum, vellum straps, and blue-grey paper (as in GGlaH T.3.21), title (ink): BEDA | de | TEMPOR. (s. 18 in.). The vellum of the binding is part of a legal document in late s. 17 English.
Condition Originally 154 ff. About half an inch of the top margin, q.4 1 (f.'xvij), is cut off, probably to remove the name of Durham Priory, as the remains of the private library mark would show.

From which time 'till the 59th year of his age he never ceas'd | writing. He died in 735, aged 62. His body was removed from | Jarrow to Durham, and buried in the same coffin with St. Cuthbert."
