Oxford, Bodleian Library, Auct. F. 4. 32. Century 10 | 11 | 9 Place of origin Brittany, Wales, England Language English | Greek | Latin Previous owners This remarkable volume seems to have been made up in the following way. Pt. III was written in Wales and is "the patriarch of all Welsh Books known", according to Henry Bradshaw. Pt. I, written in Brittany, must have crossed thence to Wales early in s. 10. Pt. IV, written about the same time as pt. I, but in Wales, must have joined the other two in time for the trasmission of all three (pts. I, III, IV) from Wales to Glastonbury in the time of St. Duncan (945-88). It can hardly be doubted that Dunstan owned at least pt. I, and probably Pt. III & IV, or that pt. II was written at Glastonbury and added to the volume in s. 11. Late in s. 15 the book (or at least IV) was "in custodia fratris. H. Langley") (47), and it (or at least pt. I) was seen by Leland in about 1540 at Glastonbury (Collectanes III 154 "Grammatica Euticis, liber olim s. Dustani"). "THo. Allen : D(ono) D(edit)", in 1601. Composite ms. 4 parts Material Membr.
