(foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in the upper left corner of rectos, skipping the folio after ‘99’; foliation corrected by adding Hindu-Arabic numerals in the upper left corner of the written area on rectos from f. 100r onwards, used for the references in this entry; catchwords). A single clear nastaʿlīq hand in black; almost fully dotted ductus, occasional shaddas, regular hamzas. Book and chapter numbers in thuluth in black or red; qawlu-hu/aqūlu in red at the beginning of every section; some lines of the text have been crossed out. Substantial diagrams with lines in black and geometrical points and labels in red. Four mathematical tables (25r, 42r, 43r) with lines in black and headings in black or red. Beginning of text framed (1v, 2r), illuminated title piece (1v). Manuscript in very good condition; a few moisture stains in the margins. Dimensions: 22×12.8 cm, written area: 15.7×7 cm; 25 lines per page. Brown leather cover decorated with golden mandorlas on the covers and flap; a golden rectangle on the fore-edge flap carrying the statement li-ṣāḥibi-hī l-saʿāda wa-l-salām; blue mandorla on the inside of the cover and flap.
