scribal date ‘845’ in Hindu-Arabic numerals by a different hand from the main text, in red (222v). A verse of a Persian poem indicating the date Jumādā l-thāniya 886/July-August 1481 with the number of the year in abjad (Ir). Two occurrences of a verse of a Persian poem (paste-down, Ir); two verses of an Arabic poem (Ir). Anonymous and undated octagonal motto seal (1r, 2r, 64r, 108r, 172r, 222v); a damaged, illegible small oval seal (Ir). (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil just above the text frame on the upper left of rectos, f. 59 foliated as ‘69’, folio number ‘69’ repeated; an earlier Hindu-Arabic foliation in the top left corners of rectos in ink up to f. 53, then in pencil by a different hand, deviating from the other foliation by one or two in an inconsistent way; catchwords). A single clear taʿlīq hand in black; occasionally dotted ductus, occasional shaddas, regular hamzas except for initial alifs. Book numbers in red, chapter numbers in Hindu-Arabic numerals or written out in red; qawlu-hu/aqūl in red at the beginning of every section. Abjad notation in the text in black or red, occasionally overlined. Several diagrams with lines in red, letters and labels in black. Three tables with headings in black or red (27v, 28r, 28v). Manuscript in very good condition; occasional moisture stains not affecting the readability of the text. Dimensions: 26.5×16 cm, written area: 18×9 cm; 29 lines per page. Brown leather cover with a simple rectangular frame. Type II binding.
