Prov.:a small oval seal bearing a basmala (Ir). A big rectangular seal weakly impressed (1r and 115v). A small rectangular seal partially stamped on the body text (24r and 34r). Talismanic invocations kabīkaj (Ir and 1r). The word waqf written at the upper right edge of the text area (43v). A small oval seal partially invisible due to restoration of the margin (1r); at least three erased statements (1r). Library stamps (1v, 54v and 115r). Old shelfmark: ‘6402’ (label on inside front cover).
Cod.: paper, I+115 ff. (foliated with Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in pen up to f. 107; an additional foliation with Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil from f. 96 onwards; catchwords). A neat naskh hand with light tendency to nastaʿlīq; almost fully dotted ductus, some vowel marks and hamzas, hardly any shaddas. Book headings and chapter beginnings in red and green thuluth; propositions numbered in the margins with bold overlined abjad numerals in red or green. Abjad and Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals overlined or in red. Diagrams with red lines and black or green geometrical points or vice versa. Tables with red lines and headings in red and green thuluth; some tables incomplete (16r–v, 33r). Codex in acceptable condition; damage to the outer margins and corners and by the flap, mostly restored (e.g., ff. I–1, 48, 57, 103, 115); water or moisture damage in the upper and lower margins; a large stain (86v). Dimensions: 25×18 cm; 27 lines per page. Black leather covers with corner pieces and a frame. Type III binding, formerly type II (traces of the flap on ff. I–1, 101–115).
