A long undated ownership statement by Muẓaffar al-Munajjim al-Junābadī (d. 1031/1621-2) in red (1r), stating that he received the manuscript from Shāh ʿAbbās (r. 1588–1629), and a short note by him (90r), both with his seal; statement of inheritance by al-Junābadī’s son, Muḥammad Shafīʿ b. Muẓaffar al-Munajjim, accompanied by two impressions of his seal (1r); Persian statement, dated 1 Dhū l-qaʿda 1052/​21 January 1643, by Muḥammad Shafīʿ, who donated the manuscript to his son, Muḥammad Bāghir, with two faded seals (1r). A naskh hand with tendency to nastaʿlīq; almost fully dotted ductus, some vowel marks, shaddas and hamzas. Book headings rubricated; section headings in red and introduced by dark-greenish overlined abjad numerals; propositions numbered with red overlined abjad numerals in the margins. Abjad numerals overlined or in red with overlines; Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in red with overlines. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points or sometimes vice versa. Tables with red lines; some table headers missing (27v, 64r, 65r–66v, 79v–80v). Codex in good condition; some water damage, mostly confined to the upper outer margins and corners; some margins, corners and folds restored; some stains (e.g., ff. 86v–88v).
