Four research fellows invited for 2014

The project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus invited four research fellows for the summer and autumn of 2014:

Dr. Flora Vafea (Cairo) will do preparatory work on a Greek-Arabic-Latin glossary of astronomical and astrological terms in the period August-October 2014.
Prof. Dr. Charles Burnett (Warburg Institute, London), in cooperation with Prof. Yamamoto, will work on an edition of the Latin and Arabic translations of Ptolemy's main astrological work, the Tetrabiblos, in September 2014.
Prof. Keiji Yamamoto (Kyoto Sangyo University, Japan), together with Prof. Burnett, will work on an edition of the Latin and Arabic translations of Ptolemy's main astrological work, the Tetrabiblos, as well as on the commentary on the Tetrabiblos by Ibn Ridwan in September 2014.
Dr. Michele Rinaldi (University of Naples) will work on his edition of the Commentationes super centum Ptolemaei sententiis by Giovanni Pontano in the period September-December 2014.
