`%`	(the percent sign) is the placeholder for no, one or more than one character.
`%%`	(two percent signs) is the placeholder for no, one or more than one character, but not for blank space (so that a search ends at word boundaries).

At the beginning and at the end, these placeholders are superfluous.

Special issue of Akademie Aktuell on PAL

The third issue in the year 2013 of Akademie Aktuell, the official journal of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (in German), is devoted to the project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus. In articles aimed at a non-specialist audience, Dag Nikolaus Hasse, David Juste, Benno van Dalen, Alexander Jones, Paul Kunitzsch, Charles Burnett and Noel Swerdlow elucidate various aspects of the project.
