a partially erased statement of ownership by Muḥammad-taqī (or: Muḥammad-naqī) … dated to Rabīʿ al-awwal of an illegible year; an undated statement of ownership by a certain al-munajjim accompanied by an erased seal (p. 193); a faded illegible pentagonal seal (p. 194); an octagonal seal of ownership by a certain Muḥammad-riḍā (p. 226). A horoscope dated Tuesday, 22 Muḥarram 1201/‌14 November 1786 (p. 194). Librarian’s label with the titles of seven works, and the old (‘6451’) and new (‘4642’) shelfmarks (front doublure); a label of the library with the old shelfmark ‘6451’ (front doublure); old library stamps (pp. 1, 2, 103, 193, 194, 226); new library stamp with the number ‘6469’ handwritten at the centre (front doublure). Cod.: a composite manuscript with three types of paper in different states of preservation (pp. 1–38, 39–194, and 195–226), 226 pp. (paginated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil at the bottom of each page; partially foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pen at the left top of rectos; catchwords on many pages). Six different hands, all in black. First hand (pp. 1–14): nastaʿlīq, almost fully dotted ductus, maddas, final hamzas, but hardly any shaddas or tanwīns; section beginnings overlined; 14–19 lines per page (p. 19: 35 lines). Second hand (pp. 15–19): quick nastaʿlīq, rarely dotted ductus, no shaddas, occasional hamzas; 19–35 lines per page. Third hand (pp. 20–38): nastaʿlīq, fully dotted ductus, maddas, final hamzas, occasional shaddas; section beginnings indicated by single words rubricated with red ink, catch titles in bold thuluth in the margin; 17–20 lines per page. Fourth, main hand (pp. 39–193): naskh, mostly dotted ductus, no shaddas, no hamzas, a few tanwīns; section beginnings and chapter titles rubricated with red ink, main topic of each section indicated in bold thuluth in the margin; 25 lines per page. Fifth hand (pp. 194–204): nastaʿlīq, rarely dotted ductus, catch titles in bold thuluth in the margin, section beginnings overlined; 20–21 lines per page.
