Cod.: paper, 206 ff. (foliated with Urdu forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil in the upper centre of rectos, with ff. 119–121 incorrectly numbered 121–119–120; catchwords). A single naskh hand; almost fully dotted ductus with frequent elongated bowls and some elongated ascenders, some vowel marks and hamzas. Basmala in large and bold thuluth with full vocalisation (2v). Book headings in red bold thuluth; chapter beginnings introduced by red abjad numerals, chapter titles sometimes rubricated; propositions mostly numbered with red abjad numerals in the margins, some with red overlines; qāla / aqūlu in red or overlined in red. Abjad numerals and Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in red and/or overlined in red. Carefully drawn diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points or vice versa. Tables with red lines; table headings generally in large bold thuluth in red or black; an incomplete table (114v). An illuminated headpiece in gold and blue with floral motifs in various colours (2v); interlinear spaces on ff. 2v–3r additionally coloured in gold; text area surrounded by a golden frame and rule-borders in red and blue. Codex in acceptable condition; all folds reinforced by broad paper strips covering the entire inner margins; damage by insects throughout the codex, often repaired with tape, affecting the readability of the text body especially from f. 172r onwards; minor water or moisture damage in the margins; some margins restored by different types of paper. Dimensions: not given; 21 lines per page.
