endowment statement in Persian by Ḥajj al-Ḥaramayn al-Sharīfayn Ḥajjī ʿAbd al-Nabī in favour of the trust of Muḥammad Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad Maʿṣūm al-Ḥusaynī, dated Dhū l-qaʿda 1120/​January-February 1709, with an oval seal dated 1134/​1721-2 (1r). Library stamp with accession number 454 (front cover); the library was founded by the Shia scholar Āyat Allāh Sayyid Ḥusayn Ṭabāṭabāʾī Burūjirdī (1875–1961) shortly before his death.

Cod.: paper, I+155+Ia ff. (unfoliated; catchwords). A black nastaʿlīq hand; mostly dotted ductus with elongated ascenders, few vowel marks, hamzas and shaddas only in the beginning. Book headings sometimes in red; catch titles for most books in the margins; section beginnings in red and introduced by abjad numerals and from IV.7 onwards by written-out ordinal numbers; propositions sometimes indicated by abjad numerals in the margins. Abjad numerals mostly in red or overlined in red; Persian variants of Hindu-Arabic numerals mostly in red. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points, sometimes vice versa; two unfinished diagrams (19r), some reserved spaces (e.g., 33v, 73r). Tables with red lines, frequently incomplete or empty (e.g., 8v, 25v–26r, 118r). Codex in good condition; some water damage, some stains, some margins and folds restored (e.g., ff. 1–13, 122–123). Dimensions 23.5×13 cm; 21–25 lines per page.
