A single formal small naskh hand with elements of nastaʿlīq in black ink with use of magenta and red. Fully dotted ductus; few shaddas, substantial hamzas, no vowels. Abjad notation in black not consistently overlined. Chapter headings (without the term faṣl) in black with a red overline and numbered with abjad numerals; new paragraphs pointed out with overlines. Substantial diagrams (all in the margins) and tables. Text framed with double line in magenta. Codex in excellent condition; few smudges, no moisture or mold stains. Dimensions: 280×202 mm, written area: 205×120 mm; 27 lines per page. Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, blind-tooled and stamped; blue and burgundy marbled paper pastedowns (PUL catalogue).
