(foliated with Arabic-European numerals in pencil on every fifth recto, skipping an inserted leaf after f. 54 and two empty leaves after f. 90; earlier foliation with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pen on every recto, with some irregularities and not always visible due to restorations; catchwords). A small naskh hand; frequently dotted ductus without any vowels, shaddas or hamzas. Book and section headings and abjad numerals in the text rubricated. Diagrams with red lines and black points, and occasionally vice versa. Numerous tables with red lines, red headers, and black tabular values; some of the tables left empty (e.g., 30v), some empty tables with black lines rather than red ones (e.g., 23r–24v); a rosette on f. 77v. Codex in bad condition; major damage by insects, some worm holes and water stains, numerous restorations on every single folio, several folios replaced. Dimensions: c. 27×14 cm, written area: c. 6⅔ cm wide; 27–34 lines per page. Modern binding with imprint ‘University Library Edinburgh’ on the spine.
