Prov.:no ownership statements or seals.
Cod.: green and white paper, I+235+Ia ff. (foliated with Arabic-European numerals in pencil on every fifth recto, with 135 misplaced on f. 136r and only three folios between 145 and 150; earlier foliation with Hindu-Arabic numerals in black beginning with 2 on f. 1, repeating 132 and skipping 144 and 150, thus mostly being one ahead of the Arabic-European foliation; catchwords). The manuscript consists of two different parts written on different types of paper and by two different main hands; the number of lines and the dimensions of the text area are the same in both parts. First part (1r–148v): a mostly undotted tall naskh hand in black, hardly any shaddas or vowels, few hamzas, lām-alif muḥaqqaq; abjad notation in red. Book headings in black written in muḥaqqaq; chapter headings in red numbered with abjad numerals in black; paragraph beginnings indicated with red overlines. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points, or the other way around, but the points are often omitted; space for tables left blank. Worm-eaten; minor moisture and mould stains; trimmed (44r). Second part (150r–235v): a mostly fully dotted rounder naskh hand in black with a slight slant forward; no shaddas but frequent hamzas, no vowels, lām-alif muḥaqqaq; abjad numerals in black partially overlined; book and chapter headings left blank. Substantial diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points (but mostly omitted). All tables with red lines but left empty; substantial blank spaces for missing tables. An additional nastʿalīq hand on ff. 195r, 196v, and 198r–199r. Codex in mediocre condition; worm-eaten, numerous moisture and mould stains. Dimensions: 24½×13 cm, written area: 5¾ cm wide; 19 lines per page.
