a short poem in Persian attributed to Ibn Sīnā (214r). Statement of ownership by Shaykh al-Islām Feyzullah Efendi of Qusṭanṭiniyya (d. 1115/1703), dated 〈1〉112/1700-1 (1r), with his seal of endowment with the same date (Mühür Veritabanı, no. 344), which is repeated on the last page (214v); the word ‘waqf’ in bold black letters (2r, 102v, 213v). Ottoman library stamps (1r, 214v). Old shelfmark: ‘1371’ in Arabic-European numerals (1r, within a stamped frame).

Cod.: paper, II+214+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil; pagination with Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals on rectos, visible from ‘6’ on f. 4r onwards; catchwords). A nastaʿlīq hand with tendency to naskh. Almost completely undotted ductus without vowel marks, shaddas or hamzas, except for the beginning and end of the codex; use of red dots and red overlines as textual dividers on the first five pages. Book and chapter titles and qawluhu / aqūlu in red. Abjad numerals and Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals overlined or in red. Mostly carefully drawn diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points and labels; reserved space for a single diagram (158r), two diagrams without geometrical points (48v, 50v), some diagrams missing. Tables with red lines. Codex in good condition; minor water or moisture damage, mostly in the upper outer corners; some stains and damage by worms; outer margin of the first folio restored. Dimensions: 21.1×12.0 cm; 27 lines per page. Type III binding, previously type II (traces of the flap on ff. IIv–1r).
