three short Arabic poems and an explanation of a term occuring in one of these (ʿadl) in the same hand (p. 1). A registration statement of the Kutubkhāna-yi Riyāsat-i Rāmpūr dated 23 December 1921 (p. 1); old shelfmark ‘hayʾat no. 88’. Accession nos ‘5134 D’ (ʿArshī) and ‘S.T. 1427’ with name ʿArshī-Zāda and date 28.10.95 (p. 1).

Cod.: paper, 418 pp. (sloppily paginated with pencil in the top margin of each page, p. 1 being a recto; foliation with Hindu-Arabic numerals just above the text area on rectos, often missing or invisible due to restorations; no catchwords). A main naskh hand in black, partially dotted ductus; pp. 129–144 written by a different naskh hand. Book and section titles in red; proposition numbers in the margins in red abjad. Abjad numerals in the text in red with overlines, Hindu-Arabic numerals in red. Red overlines used to indicate geometrical points in the text and the beginning of phrases. Neatly drawn diagrams with lines in red and geometrical points in black or the other way around. Tables with a red frame and red lines; a rosette (p. 222). Codex in very bad condition; major damage by insects and worms, minor water damage; numerous restorations with tape or paper slips; most of the upper margins up to p. 248 restored, on pp. 63–162 with paper strips that turned dark brown. Dimensions: 22.7×13.8 cm; 23 lines per page. Modern half-bound dark-blue leather covers over dark-green paper. Type III binding.
