A short elementary treatise giving an overview of the diagrams/​propositions in Book I of Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī’s Taḥrīr al-Majisṭī (C.1.18), although the title refers to this work as ‘al-Majisṭī li-Baṭlamyūs’. It starts by giving the total number of books (maqāla, 13), sections (faṣl, 141) and diagrams (shakl, 196) and then discusses all the diagrams in Book I of the Almagest (seven in section I.10, eight in section I.12, and one in section I.13), as well as the diagrams added by al-Ṭūsī with black lines (seven in section I.10 and ten in section I.12). The author refers to the diagrams from the Almagest with ordinal numbers in red, and to the added diagrams with abjad numerals in red. The explanations of the propositions range from single sentences specifying the proven statement to more extensive discussions of the theorems. No diagrams are included in the unique manuscript, although a reserved space may have been intended for one.
