copied by Muḥammad Isrāʾīl al-Fishāwarī (i.e., from Peshawar) on the order (bi-amr) of Aghā l-Fāḍil Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Jalīl al-Āyawī (?) at Shāhjahānābād (Delhi) from an exemplar copied on Wednesday, 22 Ramaḍān 663/8 July 1265 for Maḥmūd al-Khaṭīb at the madrasa of Maragha, which in turn was copied from an exemplar dated 5 Shawwāl 644/13 February 1247, i.e., the autograph (p. 185). This manuscript is not a direct copy of the older MS Suleman 164/24, which likewise goes back to the copy made for Maḥmūd al-Khatīb, since the latter lacks the date of the exemplar and some diagrams and tables.

Abjad numerals overlined; Urdu forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals sometimes overlined. Nearly all diagrams in the margins, sometimes sloppily drawn; diagram lines and geometrical points both in black.
