Endownment of Fāḍil Khān in 1065/​1654-5 (library slip). A statement of registration in the Madrasa-yi Fāḍiliyya on 9 Rabīʿ al-awwal 1289/​17 May 1872, with a small oval seal ‘Aḥmad al-Mūsawī’ (1r); a statement of registration dated 1297, with a seal ‘ʿAbd al-Raḥīṃ Muḥammad’ with year ‘12?6’ (1v); a statement of registration dated 13〈0〉2/​1884-5 (?), with seal ‘ʿAbd al-Raḥīṃ Muḥammad’ (2r); a waqf statement in favour of the Madrasa Fāḍil Khān (2r). Cod.: paper, I+277 ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals on rectos up to f. 272, skipping 33, 162, 197 and 198; ff. 178–193 and 202–209 misplaced after f. 14, f. 70 after f. 128, and ff. 159–160 after f. 147; a dozen inserted unnumbered slips of paper; catchwords). A single nastaʿlīq hand; dotted ductus. Book and chapter titles and abjad and Hindu-Arabic numerals in red. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points or the other way around, towards the end of the codex often unfinished. Tables with red lines; sometimes unfinished or entirely omitted (e.g., the remaining planetary mean motions on the blank folios 195v–201v). Codex in acceptable condition; significant damage by insects around the fold. Dimensions: 21×12 cm; 17 lines per page. Dark-brown leather covers with blind-stamped frame. Type III binding.
