Ptolemaic work finished in Jumādā l-ūlā 735/January 1335, with the day of the month written as لا كو (282v); MS Tehran, Majlis, 3846⁢⁢⁢, which writes the date of its exemplar in exactly the same form, was copied from this codex. Second work finished in the afternoon of Sunday, 22 Dhū l-qaʿda 〈10〉28/31 October 1619 (301r).

a price expressed with siyāq numerals (1r); an erased Persian statement (1r). Statement of ownership by Shams al-Kishmarī, with his smeared oval seal ‘Huwa alladhī jaʿala al-shams ḍiyā’ dated 1047/1637-8 (1r); the same seal on ff. 234r, 282v and 284r (twice). A Persian statement of endowment by Amīr al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Zāhidī al-Ṭabīb to the Madrasa-yi Jadīd-i Sulṭānī, located in the area Chahār Bāgh of ‘Dar al-Salṭana’ Isfahan, with Amīr al-Dīn’s seal dated 1117/1705-6 (1r); confirmation of the endowment, presumably by a librarian, with Amīr al-Dīn’s seal (2r); ‘waqf’ written on many pages, mostly in the top margins. A small oval seal of Muḥammad Ḥusayn dated 1123/1711-2 (1r). Donated by Sayyid Muṣṭafā al-Mudarrisī (1903–1983), and by Sayyid al-ʿArāqayn in1391 H.S./2012 (online).

The Ptolemaic work in a black nastaʿlīq hand, 17 lines per page, scarcely dotted ductus; book titles mostly in enlarged bold black and centred; titles of Books I and II, section titles, and qawlu-hu / aqūlu in red; diagrams with red lines and black labels; some tables with red lines. The second work in black naskh, 21 lines per page, almost fully dotted ductus; chapter and section titles and abjad numbers in red; several tables with red lines. Codex in good condition; some stains and creases, some torn edges, f. 1 restored with pieces of paper, significant wear to the covers. Dimensions: 26.0×19.0 cm; written area: 16.5×11.0 cm in the Ptolemaic work, 16.0×10.0 cm in the second work. Cardboard cover with marbled paper in beige, pink, and green; honey-coloured leather spine; lemon-colored endpapers (online). Type II binding.
