Undated note ‘488 ṣafḥa, alṭāf al-Raḥmān’, indicating the number of pages according to the early catalogue (180^av); old shelfmark: ‘ḥayʾat ʿārabī 62’ (1r). Acquisition number ‘S.T. 1433’ by ʿArshī Zāda, dated 25.10.〈19〉95 (1r); registration number ‘4575’ (1r). Several further library labels with numbers.

A single clear naskh hand in black; almost fully dotted ductus with occasional vowel marks, shaddas and tanwīns. Book and chapter numbers in red. Book and section titles, most geometrical points, and all quotations from al-Ṭūsī’s Taḥrīr overlined with red. Occasional use of Hindu-Arabic numerals (e.g., 96v, 97r). Several diagrams in Book I with red lines and black letters; only reserved spaces for diagrams and tables in Books II and III. Codex in bad condition; damage by insects throughout, in many cases repaired with transparent tape. Dimensions: 21.6×13.3 cm; 19 lines per page. Modern cloth covers half-bound with red leather; gilded inscriptions on the spine. Type III binding.
