= Ptolemy, Kitāb al-Arbaʿ (tr. unknown) (A.2.3)

. — Title: Kitāb Baṭlamyūs al-ḥakīm fī-mā huwa kāʾin fī maʿrifat al-nujūm wa-huwa arbaʿ aqwāl (15v). — Index: Book I, 15v–23v (incomplete); II, 23v–36v; III, 36v-47v; IV, 47v–54v. Each book preceded by a list of contents. Chapter I.4 breaks off in the middle of a sentence on f. 21r and continues in the middle of chapter I.23, pointing to missing folios in the exemplar; chapter I.24 starts on f. 21v but its heading is misplaced to the top of f. 22r, likely causing the misnumbering of subsequent chapters in Book I. — Undated authorial colophon supplemented by the scribe with a rubricated formula. Freehand tables for the terms according to the Egyptians (21r) and Ptolemy (22v, incomplete) as well as for the day and night rulers of the triplicities (21v and 22r); no tables are found in the only other surviving witness of this work, MS Istanbul, Üniversitesi, A 6141). Very few marginal notes, often affected by repairs, some indicated by siglum or hinting at collation practices (e.g., 41r, 43v, 53r).
