Ṭāhir (d. 632/1234-5) dated 615/1219, probably in Shiraz where Ibn Ṭāhir lived most of his life (219r; on him, see Muʿīn al-Dīn Abū al-Qāsim Junayd Shīrāzī, Shadd al-izār fī ḥaṭṭ al-awzār ʿan zawwār al-mazār, ed. Muḥammad Qazwīnī and ʿAbbās Iqbāl Āshtiyānī, Tehran, 1328 H.S./1949-50, pp. 235–238, no. 164). Statement of purchase by a ʿAlī b. … b. Muḥammad al-A…ī in Rajab 671/January-February 1273 (date also given as 1584 according to the era of Alexander) for 6½ dinars from Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Baghdādī and with Najm al-Dīn al-Khayyāmī al-Baghdādī as witness (219r). Statement of ownership by the well-known Ḥanafī jurist, traditionist and judge 〈Abū Ḥanīfa Qiwām al-Dīn Luṭf Allāh〉 Amīr Kātib b. Amīr ʿUmar 〈b. Amīr Ghāzī〉 al-ʿAmīd al-Fārābī al-Itqānī dated Ṣafar 749/May 1348, who should have bought this copy in Damascus (2r; on him, see Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī, al-Durar al-kāmina fī aʿyān al-miʾa al-thāmina, ed. Cod.: paper, II+219+IIa ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pen, skipping the number ‘121’ and f. 207bis; an additional numbering with abjad numerals from f. 11 onwards, in the beginning sometimes cut off; no catchwords). A single fast and inelegant big naskh hand with an increasing slant backwards and larger when the text is next to or before figures and tables. Almost fully undotted ductus except for the first twelve folios; no vowels, hamzas or shaddas. Title in thuluth (2r); book headings in bold without indentation or page break; centered chapter headings without bold. Substantial figures and tables; the figures were drawn before the text was copied. A different naskh hand on the inserted folio 20bis from a different work. Dimensions: not provided; 35–39 lines per page.
