An illegible statement dated 16 Shawwāl 841/12 April 1438, erased and replaced by a Persian statement of purchase, also dated 841/1438 (1r). An undated ownership statement by ʿAlī b. Muḥammad al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Dāmghānī, who also owned MS Istanbul, Topkapı, Ahmet III 3329 (1r). A pointed oval seal with the tughra of Bāyazīd II (r. 1481–1512); the big round waqf seal of Sultan Aḥmet III (r. 1703–1730), and an unidentified calligraphic signature found in numerous manuscripts related to the Ottoman Palace Library (1r). Additional shelfmark: ‘hayʾa 44’; old shelfmark: ‘ʿayn 38’ (fore-edge flap); this manuscript possibly corresponds to item 426 or 427, erroneously catalogued as ‘Sharḥ Taḥrīr’, in the inventory of the Royal Librarian ʿAṭūfī (compiled in 908/1502–3, see Necipoğlu et al.).

Chapter beginnings additionally introduced by overlined bold abjad numerals in black; subsections numbered with red overlined abjad numerals in the margins. Hindu-Arabic and abjad numbers in the main text mostly overlined and highlighted in red ink, thus visually separated from overlined black letters referring to geometrical points. Codex in very good condition; minor damage caused by insects in the inner upper margins, not affecting the readability. Dimensions: 230×160 mm, width of the written area: 110 mm; 28 lines per page. Brown leather covers with fore-edge and envelope flap, decorated with frames and corner pieces, as well as a blind-tooled central mandorla with pendants (front and back covers) and a medallion (flap).
