The first hand (1r–37r) in black with headings in bold red or black; frequently dotted ductus, occasional vowels and shaddas, frequent hamzas; overlined abjad notation in black. The second hand (38v–158r) in dark brown with headings in red; frequently dotted ductus, occasional vowels, no shaddas or hamzas; overlined abjad notation in black. The third hand (160v–178r) in a fast cursive naskh in black; frequently undotted ductus, no vowels, occasional hamzas and shaddas; headings in bold red; occasional overlined abjad notation. Substantial diagrams; tables left empty; substantial figures of instruments. Codex in very good condition; minor mold stains, significant damage to the covers. Dimensions: 245×165 mm; 1r–37r: 27 lines per page, 38v–158r: 21 or 25 lines per page, 160v–178r: 27 lines per page. Covers in brown leather over paper pasteboards; blind-tooled circular medallion and corners decorated with geometrical motives; frame with fillets. Type II binding.
