Oval stamp ‘Kitābkhāna-yi Mishkāt’ with date Bahman 1328/​January-February 1950 (1v); ex-libris: endowment of Sayyid Muḥammad Mishkat (front pastedown). Round library stamps (1r, 53r, 242v, 243v, Iav); rectangular library stamp ‘amwāl Dānishgāh’ without number (5v).

Cod.: paper, I+243+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals on rectos; paper slip with diagram in the hand of the scribe inserted after f. 108; catchwords). A single nastaʿlīq hand in black; fully dotted ductus. In Books I and II: book and section titles in red, book and section numbers (written out) repeated in the margins in red; abjad numerals and geometrical points in the text overlined in black. Nearly all rubrications omitted from f. 68 onwards. Diagrams with black lines and red geometrical points and labels, occasionally the other way around; the labelling in some diagrams omitted (e.g., 108v, 164r, 186r). Some tables with black lines and mostly red contents. Codex in very good condition; light water damage, some stains, several leaves between ff. 170 and 182 loose. Dimensions: 24×15 cm, written area: 17.5×8 cm; 24 lines per page. Cardboard covers, half-bound with cloth over cardboards. Type III binding.
