Prov.:Owner’s name ʿAlī b. Mūsā (1r). Owner’s statement of a son of Ṣadr al-Dīn Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm, with his first name and a rectangular and an oval seal all erased (1r). A rectangular seal of Muḥammad Shafīʿ dated 1079/1668-9, a rectangular seal ‘ʿabd Allāh ʿAbdallāh’ dated 1124/1712-3, and an oval seal ‘ʿAbdallāh …’ dated 1114/1702-3 (200r, lined up vertically under the explicit). Mention of title and author of the work, together with an ownership statement dated to the end of Muḥarram 1090/mid February 1679, with the name and a rectangular seal erased (1r). An erased ownership statement (200v); ownership statement by Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Mahdī b. Sulaymān b. ʿAlī Baḥrānī …, dated to the last day (salkh) of Shaʿbān 1150/22 December 1737 (200v). An erased price (1r); statement of purchase by Fāḍil Tūnī for 20 tūman, with year 1356/1937-8 (IIv); a price of 200 riyāl, with the name Fāḍil Tūnī and the title Majisṭī (1r). Basmala in bold gold thuluth with blue vowel marks (1v). Book headers in bold gold thuluth, book titles in red; section numbers in abjad in gold, encircled in blue; chapter titles in enlarged bold black. Proposition numbers in encircled red abjad in the margins. Abjad and Hindu-Arabic numerals in the text in red, overlined in black. Red overlines or overwrites used to emphasise some more words and phrases. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points, occasionally the other way around. Tables with a golden frame and blue rule-border and some of the column headers in blue; constellation names in the star catalogue written in black, red and blue; a rosette (108r). Codex in bad condition; major water damage on the edges and in the folds of all leaves, bottom part of f. 198 torn and restored, some small restorations on the first and last pages, some large stains (56r, 197r–v); significant damage on the covers. Dimensions: 24.5×15 cm, written area: 15×8 cm; 21 lines per page. Brown leather covers and flap with gilded mandorlas, corner-pieces and frame; doublures with blackish onlays of similar decorative elements. Type II binding.
