undated statement of ownership by Jaʿfar …Ṭabasī, the clergy (1r); undated statement of unknown ownership, written above an illegible faded square seal (1r); an erased statement next to the oval seal of Zayn al-ʿĀbidīn Ḥusaynī (1r); an illegible faded square seal (1r); a faded oval seal (2r). A note only presenting the name Ṣādiq (202v); short note stating that the (unknown) owner of the manuscript bought it from a certain Mahdī (202v). Four occurrences of the old stamp of the Faculty of Theology of Tehran University, the first one dated 1341 Hijri-i shamsi (1962) and with the current shelf mark (1v, 80r, 128r).

Cod.: paper, 202 ff. (unfoliated, ‘200’ written in pencil on what we count as f. 198v, and ‘p. 410’ with ink on f. 202r; catchwords). A single clear nastaʿlīq hand in black; mostly dotted ductus, no shaddas, final hamzas indicated by a thin stroke very similar to the letter rāʾ. Book and chapter numbers in red (the first book number missing); each section starts with qh (for al-Ṭūsī’s quotations) or n (for al-Samarqandī’s comments), both in red. Overlined letters for geometrical arguments in the text in black or red. Several diagrams with lines in red (just in a few cases in black), letters in black, and labels in black or red; empty space reserved for a further diagram (90v). Manuscript in good condition with minor moisture stains in the margins. Dimensions: 22×12.5 cm, written area: 15×6 cm; 20 lines per page. Dark brown leather cover decorated with a central mandorla and pendants surrounded by a frame. Type II binding.
