Collection of around 10 main works plus some minor excerpts: Arabic, Persian. Date:

from Rabīʿ al-awwal 663/December 1265-January 1266 up to to 666/1268 (Krause).

Or.:

Marāgha and Jazīn (Savadi); most parts copied by Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī, many of them directly from autographs.

Prov.:

undated seal of ownership of Sultan Bāyazīd II (r. 1481–1512) (1r, 87v). Big round waqf seal of Sultan Aḥmet III (r. 1703–1730) (1r); unidentified signature (1r).

Cod.: paper, I+87+Ia ff. (modern foliation with Arabic-European numerals, vertically with respect to the copied text at the bottom right of rectos, with one folio skipped between 44 and 45; another irregular foliation in abjad notation at the bottom left of rectos; no catchwords). The abjad foliation, the early table of contents on f. 1r, and the several one-page fragments on the reverse of the first or last folios of longer treatises suggest that the parts of this manuscript were taken from an originally significantly larger codex. One main hand in black naskh; ff. 57v–63r brownish and rather pale, ff. 41v–43v and 72r–77r entirely in black. Partially dotted ductus, no hamzas or shaddas. Some titles, chapter headings and colophons in red, others in black; glossary lemmata (2r–v) and geometrical points in the first work in red. Numbers in the main text given with Hindu-Arabic numerals mostly in red, black only on ff. 41v–43v and 72r–77r (including in the partially incomplete tables). Numerous diagrams with black lines and red letters. Numerous tables, some of them in red (31r–v, 33r, 34v, 38r, 68v, 70r–71r), others in black (39v, 42r–43v), some incomplete. Minor excerpts in different hands (e.g., 44r, 71v). Dimensions: 260×125 mm; around 50 lines per page. Codex in good condition, some folios pasted, others cut off (e.g., 33r); the readability of the main text is never hindered. Red cover with minor damage; titles of the first treatises on the spine. Persian safīna; type II binding.

Cont.: mathematics, geometry, astronomy, poetry. — Index: part of an early table of contents with folio numbers in abjad notation (1r); al-Iṣfahānī, Talkhīṣ al-makhrūṭāt (1v–29v); Ptolemaica (30r); Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, Jawāmiʿ al-hisāb bi-l-takht wa-l-turāb (30v–40v); excerpts from Abū l-Fatḥ Ṣāliḥ b. Muḥammad b. Muḥammad al-Baghdādī, al-Majisṭī (41v–43v, with chronological tables); unidentified astronomical fragment (44r); anonymous, Faṣl fī Kayfiyyat raṣad al-shams (44v, incomplete; cf. Oxford, BL, Thurston 3, ff. 107r–108r); Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, Miʿyār al-ashʿār (44bisv–55v); unidentified astronomical fragment (56r); Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, Zubdat al-hayʾa (57v–67v, in Persian); unidentified astronomical work in Persian (68r–v); unidentified astronomical fragment (69r); tables for the Chinese-Uighur calendar with explanations in Persian (70r–71r); philosophical text by Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī in reply to an unidentified ruler (71v–72r); astronomical fragments ascribed to Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī (72r–74v); al-Abharī, Risāla fī Birkār al-qutūʿ (74v–75v, 77r); Sharaf al-Dīn al-Ḥusayn b. al-Ḥasan al-Samarqandī, Risāla fī Ṭarīq al-masāʾil al-ʿadadiyya (77v–81r); unidentified treatise ascribed to Thābit b. Qurra (81r–v); another astronomical fragment (81v); anonymous, al-Qawl al-thānī fī takhṭīṭ al-madārāt (81v–82r); Ptolemaica (82r); Ibn al-Ṣalāḥ, two short geometrical treatises entitled Kayfa naʿmalu fī murabbaʿ maʿlūm and Muqaddima li-ʿamal murabbaʿ fī dākhil muthallath musāwī l-aḍlāʿ maʿlūm (82r–v); Ptolemaica (82v–86v, 76r–v); anonymous additions (fawāʾid) (87r–v).
