from Rabīʿ al-awwal 663/December 1265-January 1266 up to to 666/1268 (Krause).

Or.:

Marāgha and Jazīn (Savadi); most parts copied by Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī, many of them directly from autographs.

Prov.:

undated seal of ownership of Sultan Bayezid II (r. 1481–1512) (1r, 87v). Big round waqf seal of Sultan Ahmet III (r. 1703–1730) (1r); unidentified signature (1r).

Cod.: paper, I+87+Ia ff. (modern foliation with Arabic-European numerals, vertically with respect to the textbody at the bottom right of rectos, with one folio skipped between 44 and 45; another irregular foliation in abjad notation at the bottom left of rectos; no catchwords). The abjad foliation, the early table of contents on f. 1r, and the several one-page fragments on the reverse of the first or last folios of longer treatises suggest that the parts of this manuscript were taken from an originally significantly larger codex. One main hand in black naskh; ff. 57v–63r brownish and rather pale. Partially dotted ductus, no hamzas or shaddas. Folios 41v–43v and 72r–77r entirely in black; in all other parts: numbers in the main text written with Hindu-Arabic numerals in red; some titles, chapter headings and colophons in red, others in black; glossary lemmata (2r–v) and geometrical points in the first work in red. Numerous diagrams with black lines and red letters. Numerous tables, some of them in red (31r–v, 33r, 34v, 38r, 68v, 70r–71r), others in black (39v), some incomplete. Minor excerpts in different hands (e.g., 44r, 71v). Codex in very good condition; some folios pasted, others cut off (e.g., 33r); the readability of the main text is never hindered. Dimensions: 260×125 mm; around 50 lines per page. Red cover with minor damage; titles of the first treatises on the spine. Persian safīna; type II binding.
