Prov.:sections of this and several other mss from former Yugoslavia were copied on a single microfilm now under the shelfmark Tehran, Kitābkhāna-yi markazi-i Dānishgāh-i Tehrān, Film 2173. It was brougth to Iran by Dejan Bogdanovic (Dānishpazhūh, who calls him ‘Jan’), a Serbian-born French Orientalist who earned his PhD from Tehran University in 1964 with a thesis on Persian literature in 16th-century Yugoslavia (Bogdanovic & Brigaudiot). Bogdanovic most likely had the manuscripts photographed in Zagreb (“Dejan Bogdanović [...] Belgrade” and “Centre for scientific and technical documentation and production of the People’s Republic of Croatia” in Croatian on the first page of the microfilm). The Ptolemaic manuscript itself could not be identified.
Cod.:
paper, unknown number of folios (foliated with European-Arabic numerals; catchwords). A single, compact naskh hand; oversized basmala; chapter titles and overlining possibly in red; fully dotted ductus with hamzas. A table of planetary periods expressed in days and months and a horoscope diagram, both with abjad numerals. Codex seemingly in good condition. 23 lines per page.
