A small unidentified oval seal mentioning a certain ‘Muṣṭafā’ (p. I). At least two erased statements and a smudged unidentified seal in rectangular shape (p. III); the mention of an incomplete date ‘Friday 24’ (p. 307). A modern stamp with Roman letters ‘HM’ (pp. III and 307); a modern stamp of the Malik Library dated 17 Farwardīn 1331 hs (6 April 1952) together with a stamp of examination with year 1351/1972-3 (p. III); another round modern library stamp (p. 307). Old shelfmark: ‘477’ (p. I).

Cod.: paper, III+307+IIa pp. (paginated with pencil in Hindu-Arabic numerals, Persian forms, at the top right of versos; catchwords). A small and neat naskh hand; mostly dotted ductus, hardly any vowels, very few isolated hamzas and shaddas. Lemmata and chapter headings in red. No tables in the Ptolemaic part. The three horoscopes usually found in this commentary are in red and black ink (pp. 263, 266, 268). Codex in very good condition apart from minor stains (e.g., pp. 4–7); some restorations of the edges towards the end (pp. 304–307). Dimensions: 26.1×20 cm; 23 lines per page (misṭara imprints, e.g., on pp. 1, 306). Bound in a reddish partial leather binding with fore-edge and envelope-flap. Doublures decorated with taraklı ebru. Type II binding.

Cont.: astrology. — Index: Ptolemaica (pp. 1–306); Persian verses extracted from various poems (p. 307). Blank: pp. I, II (except for an old shelfmark and an unidentified seal).
