a rectangular seal by the Shia scholar and founder of the Nasiriya Library, Sayyid Muḥammad Qulī Mūsawī (d. 1260/1844) dated 1221 (?)/​1807-8 (1r); a statement of endowment by Sayyid Muḥammad Qulī to his sons, written by Iʿjāz (?) Ḥusayn, one of his sons, and dated 25 Shawwal 1259/​18 November 1843, with a rectangular seal dated 1253/​1837-8 (1r).

Cod.: paper, I+103+IIa ff. (foliated with Urdu forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in black on every recto, with ff. 63–66 bound upside down in reverse order; catchwords). A single nastaʿlīq hand; mostly dotted ductus, maddas, no hamzas, vowel marks or shaddas. Book and chapter headings in red, sometimes omitted; qawlu-hu in red. Abjad numerals overlined in black or red. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points, but mostly unfinished or omitted. Codex in poor condition; heavy damage by insects throughout, some restorations with tape; some ink corrosion. Dimensions: unknown; 19 lines per page.
