Seals of Abū l-Qāsim al-Ḥusaynī (1v, rectangular), Saʿīd al-Anṣārī (70r, oval), ʿAbd Allāḥ b. Sayyid Muḥammad (70r, oval), and Muḥammad Ḥusayn b. Faḍl Allāh … (1r, square). The tughra of the 11th/​17th-century Iranian philosopher Ṣadr al-Dīn Muḥāmmad b. Muḥibb ʿAlī l-Tabrīzī (1r, 70v). A square seal ‘ʿAbdu-hu l-Rājī l-Raḍawī (?)’, dated 1144/1731-2 (1r); a note explaining that the manuscript was moved from Isfahan (to Mashhad) in Rajab 1145/​December 1732-January 1733 (1r); a rectangular seal of endowment to the Āstān-i Quds by Sarkār Fayḍ Āthār, with illegible date (1v, 12r, 34r, 65r); according to the library slip, the manuscript was donated to the Āstān-i Quds by Nādir Shāh, the founder of the Afsharid dynasty, in 1145/1732-33. Notes of inspection with dates between 1154/​1741 and 1312/​1894 (1r–2r, 4r, 4v, 69v, 70r–v), including one by Ḥājib al-ʿAtaba al-ʿIlliyya Sulṭān 〈Muḥammad〉 with a square seal dated 1289/1872-3 (1v); various library stamps. Old shelfmarks: ‘hayʾa 64’ (2r), ‘riyāḍī 36’ corrected to ‘127’ (library slip).

Cod.: paper, 70 ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil; catchwords). A black naskh hand; almost fully dotted ductus. The numbers of books, sections and chapters (bāb within some faṣl), as well as the beginning of geometric proofs (mostly entitled shakl, burhān or waṣl) and fāʾidas overlined in black or red; catch title for section I.3 in red in the margin (12v); topic of section I.10 indicated in the top right corner (50v). Several diagrams, all in the margins and often trimmed, with red lines and black letters or the other way around. Two mathematical tables with lines in black and headings and abjad numbers in red (55r–v); a small reserved space for the table of chords (30r). Manuscript in good condition; moisture stains in the margins not affecting the readability, minor ink smudges, minor repairs with pasted paper slips in the upper margins (ff. 20, 21, 24). Dimensions: 19×13 cm; 15 lines per page. Type III binding.
