Acquired in 1819 from the French orientalist Jean-François Rousseau. Red library seals ‘Seal of the Asiatic Museum’ with the heraldic double‑headed eagle (1r [twice], 184v).

Cod.: paper, I+184 ff. (foliated with Arabic-European numerals in pencil on every tenth recto, additionally f. 182 numbered 180 and f. 184 numbered 182; no catchwords). A single black naskh hand; somewhat poorly dotted ductus with very rare diacritics. Book and section beginnings and abjad numerals in red. Very carefully drawn diagrams with red lines and black letters, sometimes with black lines and red letters. Tables with lines in red and data in red and black. Codex in good condition; minor damage by insects and water. Dimensions: 33×24 cm, written area: 26×18 cm; 24 lines per page. Ochre leather covers with a frame; pastedown and flyleaf of different paper with a watermark consisting of a small crescent within a large one. Type III binding.
