Undated statement of ownership by Muḥammad b. Aḥmad known as ‘Munajjimik’, ‘head of the astrologers (i.e., muwaqqit) at the Sultan’s Gate’ at the Fatih Mosque, accompanied by a seal (IIr); a biographical note on al-Ṭūsī in the same hand (IIr). A small octogonal seal reading innamā li-kull imraʾin mā nawā, commonly found in manuscripts of the Köprülü collection (IIIr, 1r, 39r, 91r, 147r, 169r and 179v; Mühür Veritabanı, no. 12); a round waqf seal of Grand Vizier Aḥmad Köprülü (in office 1661–1676 and founder of the Köprülü library), dated 1088/1677-8 (IIr, 1r, 40r, 83r, 129r and 179r; Mühür Veritabanı, no. 46).

Cod.: paper with watermarks, III+179+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil in the upper left part of rectos, skipping 104 and 105; catchwords). A black nastaʿlīq with tendency to naskh. Sparsely dotted ductus; vowel marks, hamzas and shaddas provided in exceptional cases. Book titles in red, except for Book VIII; titles of sections (fuṣūl) in red; propositions (ashkāl) numbered in the margins with red and overlined abjad numerals; qāla/aqūlu sometimes overlined in red. Abjad numerals in the main text overlined or in red; Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in the main text in red. Mostly carefully drawn diagrams, mainly in the margins; diagram lines in red with geometrical points in black or vice versa; a corrected diagram on a small sheet attached to f. 19r; two spaces mistakenly reserved for diagrams (33r). Table outlines in red; table headings in bold and sometimes in red. Minor parts of the main text crossed out (e.g., 126v, 135v, 147r). Dimensions: 17.7×13 cm, written area 12×7 cm; 19 lines per page. Codex in good condition; some insect damage in the margins, water or moisture damage mainly on the last twenty folios, some stains and smudges; red ink of some annotations (e.g., 1r–4v) and a diagram (170r) corroded; part of the text on f. 167v rewritten on a small sheet of paper glued onto the page; some restorations with slips of paper (e.g., 164r, 168r). Covers and envelope flap in dark brown leather with borders, a frame filled with interlace, and a central mandorla with floral motifs. Type II binding.
