Book titles in red, title of Book VIII in black; section titles in red; propositions numbered in the margins with red overlined abjad numerals; qāla / aqūlu sometimes overlined in red. Abjad numerals overlined or in red; Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in red. Mostly carefully drawn diagrams, mainly in the margins with red lines and black geometrical points or vice versa; a corrected diagram on a small sheet attached to f. 19r; two spaces mistakenly reserved for diagrams (33r). Table outlines in red; table headings bold and sometimes in red. Some words and sentences crossed out (e.g., 126v, 135v, 147r). Codex in good condition; some damage by insects in the margins, water or moisture damage mainly on the last twenty folios, some stains and smudges; red ink of some annotations (e.g., 1r–4v) and a diagram (170r) corroded; part of the text on f. 167v rewritten on a small sheet of paper glued onto the page; some restorations with slips of paper (e.g., 164r, 168r).
