Cod.: paper, 67+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil; three small sheets with diagrams inserted after ff. 14 and 20; occasional catchwords). First page supplemented by a nastaʿlīq hand (1v). Main hand (2r–67r): naskh with tendency to nastaʿlīq. Sparsely dotted ductus, only very occasional vowel marks, hamzas or shaddas. Book headings in bold thuluth, heading of Book I in red; section beginnings in red and introduced by bold, black and overlined abjad numerals; propositions numbered with red overlined abjad numerals in the margins. Abjad numerals overlined or rubricated and overlined; Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals mainly in red and overlined. Diagrams, sometimes extending into the margins, with red lines and black geometrical points or vice versa; diagrams numbered ‘15’, ‘16’ and ‘18’ on the three inserted slips. Tables with red lines, some incomplete (e.g., 45v–48r), some glued in on separate pieces of paper (63v). Codex in good condition; significant water damage, especially on the first and last folios, not hindering the readability; some damage by insects in the margins, some stains and smudges, some folds and margins reinforced with paper slips (e.g., 2v, 3v, 67r). Dimensions: 23.5×15.6 cm, written area 19.5×12.2 cm; 33 lines per page. Reddish leather covers enveloped with marbled paper. Type II binding.
