Seven different hands (first: 1v–30v; second: 31v–58r; third (Amal al-Ḥājj): 63v–102v; fourth: 107v–118v; fifth: 119v–126v; sixth: 127v–131v; seventh: 135r–186r). Amal al-Ḥājj’s hand (including the Ptolemaic work): clear and regular naskh; mostly dotted ductus with a few other diacritics; red ink for chapter headings, verbum numbering (in abjad numerals), formulaic expressions, and overlining of chapter beginnings. Other hands: clear and regular naskh, mostly dotted, red used throughout; beautiful diagrams in several colours by the first hand, neat diagrams in red by the fourth hand. Codex in excellent condition; some smudges of ink and moisture stains not affecting the readability, some folios lost before f. 135. Dimensions: 21×14.5 cm; written area varying from 13.0×7.0 to 15.5×8.5 cm (Ptolemaic work: 135×75 mm); 17–23 lines per page. Simple black leather cover (Munzawī). Type III binding.
