few verses of a poem on God-given destiny, dated 21 Shawwāl 1134/4 August 1722 (145v); an illegible oval seal (1v); a note indicating that a certain Nāʾīnī donated the manuscript to the library in Murdad 1311/July-August 1932 (1r).

Cod.: tinted paper (yellow, orange, green and blue; flyleaves pink), I+145+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals [Persian forms]; catchwords under- and overlined). A single clear nastaʿlīq hand in black. Almost fully dotted ductus; final hamzas and maddas mostly indicated, few shaddas. Chapter titles and paragraph beginnings rubricated (on yellow tinted paper: substantial sulphurisation of lead contained in the ink); spaces for titles and formulaic expressions reserved, mostly from f. 40v onwards; instructions for the rubricator given in the inner margins, mostly in the fold. Mostly dotted abjad notation, rubricated in the main text (but omitted from f. 40v onwards). No tables or diagrams. Dimensions: 190×110 mm; 15 lines per page (misṭara imprints). Codex in good condition with light damage and some mold stains; some pages repaired with pasted paper slips, at times affecting the readability (e.g., f. 36). Previously bound in a Type II binding with fore-edge and envelope flap (cf. imprints on 145v); at present bound in a black leather cover (Gulchīn Maʿānī). Type III binding.
