Turkey; copied by Muṣṭafā ʿĀṣim (58v), Ottoman court astronomer, father of Namık Kemal and also the copyist of MS mīqāt Talʿat 238 (identification by King; see also the EI²P. J. Bearman et al. (eds), The Encyclopaedia of Islam. New Edition, 11 vols plus supplement and index, Leiden: Brill, 1960–2004 article ‘Kemāl, Meḥmed, Nāmi̊ḳ’ by Fevziye Abdullah Tansel). The exemplar of the Ptolemaic work was MS Cairo, Dār al-kutub, hayʾa Ṭalʿat 51, as the two manuscripts share peculiar variant readings and three glosses which are in a hand different from the copyist’s in MS hayʾa Ṭalʿat 51.
