Prov.:title page missing. Annotated and thus probably also owned by ʿAbd al-Wahhāb (fl. 1231/1816), who also possessed and annotated another manuscript of the same work (Mashhad, Āstān-i Quds, 6349) and who is said to have produced a translation into Persian for the Qajar prince Muḥammad Walī Mīrzā (d. 1864-5) (see C.2.3). Accession number: ‘3222’.
Cod.: paper, 139 ff. (foliated in pencil with Hindu-Arabic numerals, Persian variants, in the upper left corner of rectos; catchwords). A clear nastaʿlīq hand, mostly dotted; no shaddas, hamzas and maddas often provided, occasional vowel marks. Lemmata and chapter headings in red. Abjad notation in the main text mostly undotted and with red overlines. The three horoscopes usually found in this commentary were inserted by a different hand in red and black ink (97v, 100v, 102r). Dimensions: 28×17 cm, written area 19.5×11 cm; 19 lines per page (misṭara imprints). Codex in very good condition apart from some stains; some restorations of the folds and edges at the beginning and end of the manuscript. Apparently not bound.
