Cod.: paper, 171 ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil; paginated with Urdu forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals in the hand of the scribe at the centre top of every page, ranging from ‘3’ (3r) to ‘335’ (171r), skipping two pages after ‘14’ and entirely crossed out in pencil; catchwords). A black taʿlīq hand; almost fully dotted ductus, frequent hamzas, some vowel marks and few shaddas; final kāf is indicated by a second smaller kāf on top and hāʾ with a stroke underneath. Headings of Books I–III in black, of Books IV–XIII in red; section beginnings in red and mostly introduced by black or red abjad numerals with overlines; qāla / aqūlu in red and some further use of red overlines in the first part of the codex. Abjad and Urdu forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals mainly overlined, initially in red. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points, occasionally vice versa. Tables with red lines; some references by the scribe in the main text to the Urdu page numbers of tables (e.g., 11r, 32r, 48r); fold-in on f. 28 for a very wide table. Red and black rule-borders around the text area. Codex in good condition; few ink stains and smudges; damaged binding between the front doublure and f. 1r; minor damage to the paper surface (e.g., ff. 34, 97). Dimensions: 31.3×23.6 cm; 18–21 lines per page. Type III binding.
