A single clear naskh hand; almost fully dotted ductus. Book headings in bold thuluth; sections introduced by bold overlined abjad numerals; book and section titles in red. Proposition numbers in overlined red abjad in the margins. Abjad and Hindu-Arabic numerals in red and overlined; geometrical points in the text overlined in black. Diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points or vice versa. Tables with red lines; a rosette (p. 133). An illuminated headpiece with floral motifs on a goldish and blue background at the beginning of the star catalogue (p. 141). Codex in good condition; water or moisture damage in the top and bottom margins, stronger towards the end of the manuscript but never hindering the reading; bottom half of pp. 1–2 restored. Dimensions: 27×12 cm, written area: 22×6 cm; 39 lines per page. Brown leather covers over cardboard; brown paper doublures with marble motif.
