Prov.:a Persian loan statement dated 5 Rabīʿ al-awwal and mentioning a certain Mullā Muḥammad Shafīʿ (IIr). A round seal with geometric kufic script (IIr). A sloppy and undated Persian ownership statement by Mīrz〈ā〉 Ibrahīm Asad (?) (199v, upside-down). A small rectangular seal of al-Ḥassan b. ʿAlī (IIv). A big round seal of endowment by Mehmed Ragıp Paşa (Ottoman Grand Vizier, 1757–1763) dated 1175/1761-2 (1r, 104r and 198v; Mühür Veritabanı, no. 31). An illegible round stamp, likely a modern library stamp (e.g., 1r, 27v, 198v). Old shelfmarks: several earlier stamps of the Ragıp Paşa collection with handwritten numbers ‘768’, ‘903’, and ‘906’ (1r).
Cod.: paper, II+199+Ia ff. (foliated with Hindu-Arabic numerals in pencil; ff. 116–127 additionally numbered with Hindu-Arabic numerals from ‘1’ to ‘12’, mostly trimmed; small unnumbered sheets of paper inserted after ff. 15 and 61; catchwords). A nastaʿlīq hand; almost fully dotted ductus, some vowel marks and shaddas, few hamzas. Book headings in red bold thuluth-like script, those for Books I and VIII in black bold thuluth; section headings in red and introduced by black abjad numerals mostly with red overlines;propositions numbered with red overlined abjad numerals in the margins. Abjad numerals and Persian forms of Hindu-Arabic numerals mostly in red, often overlined. Carefully drawn diagrams with red lines and black geometrical points or vice versa. Tables with red lines and headings in bold red or black thuluth. Codex in good condition; minor damage by insects mainly along the lower folds (ff. II–4) and at the top of the front doublure and f. I, minor restorations (e.g., 71r–v, 118r). Dimensions: 23.5×12.3 cm, written area: 16.0×6.4 cm; 18–21 lines per page (misṭara imprints clearly visible on ff. IIr–v). Entire binding and doublures covered by yellowish cloth. Type II binding.
