Primum manifesta est ratio cur diametri figura observata sit, nam oppositio est in una recta linea. Postea vero, si duas maximas portiones iuxta harmonias et superportiones accipiamus, videlicet semicirculo diviso vel per medium, ut sint duo recti anguli vel per tria, divisio per medium efficiet quadrangulam figuram, divisio vero in tria habet sexangulam figuram. Superportionum autem, si constituatur a recto angulo quadrato sesquiplum et sesquitertium, sesquipla ratio est quadranguli ad sexangulum, sesquitertia vero est trianguli ad quadrangulum.

Existimantur autem natura congruentes trianguli et sexanguli adspectus, propterea quod tunc cognata signa feminina aut mascula conferuntur. Non congruunt aut quadranguli adspectus et oppositi, quia talis constitutio est contrariorum signorum.
