% (the percent sign) is the placeholder for no, one or more than one character.
%% (two percent signs) is the placeholder for no, one or more than one character, but not for blank space (so that a search ends at word boundaries).

At the beginning and at the end, these placeholders are superfluous.

1v–164v

= Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, Taḥrīr al-Majisṭī (C.1.18)

. — Title: Kitāb al-Majisṭī, taṣnīf al-ḥakīm al-kāmil al-mukammil afḍal al-mutaqaddimīn wa-l-mutaʾakhkhirīn qudwat al-sālikīn al-muʿallim al-bāḥith Naṣīr al-milla wa-l-dīn al-Ṭūsī qaddasa Allāhu rūḥa-hu (1r). — Additional title: Kitāb Taḥrīr al-Majisṭī (1r). — Index: author’s preface, 1v–2r; Book I, 2v–20v; II, 21v–35r; III, 35v–48r; IV, 48v–64r; V, 64v–82r; VI, 82v–94r; VII, 94v–102r; VIII, 102v–112r; IX, 112v–130r; X, 130v–135r; XI, 135v–144v; XII, 145v–153r; XIII, 153v–164v. — Authorial colophon without date or place; scribal colophon; colophon by the scribe of the exemplar (al-Malaṭī) also provided (164v). Substantial glosses throughout, mostly of a highly technical tenor. Al-Turkistānī supplements his colophon with a note indicating that the glosses containing a hāʾ mulawwaza (ھ), which most of the glosses do, were found in his base manuscript (164v). Since the base manuscript seems to be patronaged, and probably owned, by Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī, who may have sent it to Shīrāz, and since al-Malaṭī is an unknown scholar, it is very likely that most, if not all, of the glosses in the base manuscript were by Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī himself. In some parts of the work, the glosses in the base manuscript almost make up a small super-commentary. Minor additional glosses in red. Marginal corrections consistently indicated with siglum ṣḥ. Al-Turkistānī also points out in the supplemented note to his colophon (164v) that glosses taken from other sources would be indicated in their place. On f. 25r, a table includes additional variants of values in red. A marginal gloss points out that these variants are taken from a copy in the hand of Abū Rayḥān, i.e., al-Bīrūnī (nuskha bi-khaṭṭ Abī Rayḥān).

165r–166r

= Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī, Kayfiyyat taḥṣīl al-zamān al-dawrī li-l-qamar (C.1.26)

. — Title: {Faṣl} fī Kayfiyyat taḥṣīl al-zamān al-dawrī li-l-qamar (168v). — This work is the same as the next. Both works are disorderly bound, since the folios of this work and the next are exchanged: the first page of this work (168v) is followed by the last of the next, while the second page of this work (171r) follows the first of the next. The pages are additionally numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ with Arabic-European numerals in the outer upper corner. A fully undotted naskh hand. No corrections or glosses.

170v, 169r

= Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī, Kayfiyyat taḥṣīl al-zamān al-dawrī li-l-qamar (C.1.26)

. — Title: Faṣl fī Kayfiyyat taḥṣīl al-zamān al-dawrī li-l-qamar ʿalā mā dhakara Baṭlamyūs fī awāʾil al-maqāla al-rābiʿa min al-Majisṭī (170v). — The same short work as the previous one, also consisting of two pages. The work is disorderly bound, and the folios are exchanged with the previous one: the first page of this work (170v) is followed by the last of the previous work, while the second page of this work (169r) follows the first of the previous work. The pages are numbered ‘3’ and ‘4’ with Arabic-European numerals in the outer upper corner. Written in diagonal lines; almost fully undotted naskh hand with ligatures, different from the one of the previous work. No glosses. A scribal colophon attributes the authorship to his teacher (ustādhu-nā) and master (mawlā-nā) Quṭb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī (169r). However, it cannot be concluded with certainty that the scribe is al-Turkistānī.
