Prov.:an ownership statement by Ḥājj Ibrāhīm sar ʿAskarī (i.e., Ibrāhīm Paşa, viceroy of Egypt, d. 1848). An oval stamp unreadable on the scans available to us; an undecipherable statement bearing the number ‘2629’; old shelfmark ‘8573’ (all on f. 1r). The shelfmark is given as ‘30 m’ in Vollers & Ismat and GAS VII.
Cod.: paper, 9 ff. (foliation absent or not visible on the scans; catchwords). A single, quick naskh hand; fully dotted ductus, no vowels or shaddas, occasional hamzas. Red ink for qāla at the beginning of Ptolemy’s verba and for their numbering in the margins (in Hindu-Arabic numerals). A single table in black, carelessly drawn. Codex apparently in good condition; traces of damage, possibly moisture, on ff. 3v–4v. Dimensions: 20×15 cm, written area: c. 16×11 cm; 19 lines per page.
